Mount St Helens reappears from the gloom

After more than a week the clouds have parted above Mount St Helens and the incandescent glow in the crater is once again visible. For the last two nights there has been a good display, with several hotspots visible during the night and the occasional bright outburst due to a rock falls on the slopes of the lavadome.
