When the moon hits your eye...

Well the moon didn't hit anyone's eye last night (that I know of), but it did arc across the view of the Volcanocam viewing the crater on Mount St Helens last night. It was the first view of the lavadome for several days and the crater was quite active with numerous small rockfalls occurring during the night. The image above shows the moon on the left side of the frame and the active glow from the lavadome in the crater. An animation of the show are available on www.luscombe-carter.com.
